Finding Inspiration in Every Turn

Haley Sweat is an actor, singer, dancer, educator, and podcast host based out of Jacksonville, Florida. She is a recent graduate of the University of Central Florida's BFA Musical Theatre program and during her time in school also received her Bachelors of Science in Clinical Psychology and a minor in Dance. 

 

As an actor, she has appeared in Mamma Mia! (Sophie Sheridan), Some Enchanted Evening (Julie), and High School Musical (Sharpay Evans) at The State Theatre of Eustis, The Sonnentag Theatre - Icehouse, and APEX Theatre Studio. An experienced singer, her performances have garnered her many accolades including The Broadway Star Award at Access Broadway Nationals in 2019.

 

At the moment, Haley is beginning her journey as an Acting Intern with the Florida Repertory Theatre after completing her summer as an Education Apprentice with Theatre Aspen. In the past, she has also served as a teacher of voice, dance, and acting for K-12 students at various theaters and programs across the country. During the past year, she has also begun her biggest journey yet as a podcast host for her original show, "Help Me, I’m Trying!". The goal of the podcast is to help those transitioning from college to adulthood by discussing topics such as personal finances, choosing a career, mental health, and so much more!

 

When she is not performing, you can usually find her spending time with her miniature golden doodle, Hazel, and traveling the world from adventure to adventure. Haley is also a licensed diver and loves diving in the beautiful Florida ocean.
